Donkey Sanctuary in NerjaSuggested By A Member

A friend from Facebook recommended to visit The Donkey Sanctuary in Nerja. It`s a rescue centre runned by volunteers that take care of abandoned and mistreated donkeys, mules, horses and many more animales that are left at the door.pinky20baby20donkey20burrito20burro2

I checked out their site to get more information and I must say that I inmediatley fell in love with those big noses and fluffy ears!!! They have created a Kids Club on Saturdays mornings where children can help the volunteers to take care of the donkeys. For 2 hours they feed, clean and play with the donkeys and learn interesting things about the animals.

I can see my sons big eyes just getting bigger if he could be with the donkeys…He absolutely LOVES donkeys, so I guess it wont take long for us to plan a trip out to Nerja and visit the Sanctuary. It’s not only looking childfriendly and welcoming…it’s also nice to support such a great cause.

They are open daily fron 10:00-16:00 (Sat/Sun:10:00-12:00) Entrance free
