Mijas Racecourse
*NEW* The season has started once again, races will be held on the following dates and the gates open at 10am, entrance is €5 for adults, kids are free
March 7th, 14th, 21st and Friday2nd April 2010
Although not a natural choice of where to go with your children, Mijas Hipodromo can be a fun day or evening out for the family.
The Kids will love watching the horses fly around the course and seeing who will be first past the post!
There are several restaurants and cafe bars that cater for the whole family, whether you want formal dining or just a snack. Live music and entertainment is provided on race days to really give a party atmosphere.
In the summer the races are in the evening, so you can be outside enjoying the coolness of the evening.
Below are the dates of the summer meets:
JULY: Saturday 4, 11, 18 and 25. and Friday 31
AUGUST: Friday 7 .
Opening hours: 10:00 p.m. (doors open from 8,30 p.m
Entrance fee: 5 euros, Free entrance for children of less than 18 years and pensioners.

I often take my girls to the Races. They enjoy picking a horse to bet on and watching the Flamenco Dancers. After the races they have live music which is always very good. We always have a great day.
