Ok, you are either going to find this really useful and a great idea or have you enraged and thinking what is this mummy thinking of!

Once a week my son goes swimming in the afternoon but there is not enough time to collect him from nursery and go home for a nap before we have to leave for swimming.  So each week myself and my friend along with our two boys get in the car and drive.  The aim is for them both to fall asleep within 20 mins so they can get a good nap before we go swimming, in the meantime instead of sitting in the car twiddling our thumbs, we look for somewhere to grab a coffee and/or a bite to eat.

So below are a list of cafes that you can park right outside and i mean right outside, you can almost touch the car its that close and they have tables inside next to the door or outside next to the car.  I can assure all you worried mums that are thinking how awful we are, you can see and hear any movement that happens in the car, we leave the windows open slightly, and neither of our sons have ever woken up distraught.  Also this is something we only do in the cooler months and would never dream of leaving a small child in a car in the warmer months of the year.
