Aping About – Gibraltar

There is a new soft play centre opening in Gibraltar called Aping About, it is situated on Coral Road and sounds like it will be lots of fun.

It has everything you would expect from a soft play centre, a giant play structure so they can climb, slide and generally run around and use up all that energy! Whilst the kids are having a good time, you can sit down and have a cup of tea in the cafe, where you can find all sorts of refreshments and foods, from baguettes and salads to ice cream and cool drinks.

If you do need to pop out to do your shopping whilst the kids are there, then there is a service available whereby you can leave your kids with them, as long as you book in advance, letting you get your jobs done whilst they have lots of fun!

New play area at La Cañada coming soon…..

I went to La Cañada this morning and driving around (trying to find a parking space) I came across a new play area in the making!!! It’s right next to the pet shop at the end and it looks really nice. It still needs a bit of work before it is finished but I thought it was a great thing that there are more play areas opening soon around Marbella.

We will keep you posted and let know when it opens, as soon as we have the information…..

Balloons and Face Painting

My son went to a party in Benahavis village on Saturday night and I have to say I think they had the best balloon sculptor (if thats what you call them) and face painter I have ever come across, well so far anyway!

The guy who did the Balloons was great, all the boys were queuing up for their spider man balloons, even the piñata was made of Balloons.

The lady who did the face painting was amazing as well, all the girls had the most beautiful designs with really intricate flowers and the boys had the best batman masks I have seen.

I am not 100% sure on the cost for these pair but i am of the understanding that they are not expensive at all and definitely well worth the money!

Roly Poly’s Party Hire

I met up with the ladies who run Roly Polys at a family fun day, they had one of their soft play arenas set up for the kids to play on. My son is 3 and once he got in there he loved it, found lots to do and different ways to use the equipment, although better suited to the under 3’s, if you hired this and had older kids they would definitely be in there playing as well. I was impressed with the set up and the ladies were very friendly as well.

This is the first company I have seen doing this, and I think it is a great idea. Instead of hiring a bouncy castle which is more suitable for the older child and lets face it adults really, Roly Poly’s are hiring out soft play equipment for the under 5’s.

They have a wide selection to choose from and can be used in the house, garden, or anywhere you are having your party or occasion.

All the soft play is designed to encourage your childs imagination with lots of brightly coloured pieces, for climbing, rocking, sliding and building.

It’s smells like Christmas….

Although it’s still quite hot outside for this time of the year…Chirstmas is only around the corner. My friend Soli from Kukis have sent us their mouthwatering collection of hand made cookies for the season.

If you want to be original and surprise your friends and family with something special then these boxes are the way to go….they did my son’s baptism and my wedding’s keepsakes and everybody loved them!!

Ah!!…there not only beautiful but also really delicious!
