Maths tuition

I want to tell you about a very good friend of mine who is not only a great person but also an excellent Maths teacher.

Previously she has worked at both Sotogrande and Swans international school teaching up to A level/IB before having a break to have a family. She is now offering private tuition for secondary school pupils.

She is really lovely, very good with kids of all ages and has a great way of making maths enjoyable and making the “penny drop”.

If you would like your child to have some extra help or guidance with their maths then this is the lady for the job! She can offer individual or group lessons and even better she will come and teach at your home, rates are very reasonable as well.

Poppy Gonzalez Pianoforte School

I always wished I had learnt to play a musical instrument properly when I was a child (I can play London’s burning on the recorder)!

Poppy Gonzalez has been playing and studying the piano since the age of 5 at the renowned Pianoforte school in Bourne End, England, She went on to teach at this school as well and then ran her own successful school in Buckinghamshire, UK.

Poppy is now starting a new school up at her home in Estepona, for children from as young as the age of 4, she makes learning fun and easy to understand, using special stickers and colours for younger children who cannot read yet.

She also offers lessons to adults as well, so if you or any member of your family are interested in learning to play the Piano then contact Poppy.

The term starts October 5th and runs for 11 weeks ending December 18th. There is a 4 euro per hour discount to the first 5 students to contact Poppy, lessons are 14 euro for 30 mins beginners and 28 euro for 1 hour advanced.

School Uniform

It’s that time of year where we all start getting ready for the beginning of the school term. My son is starting his first year at pre-school and as he isn’t 3 yet, I am a little nervous for him but I must admit I am looking forward to seeing him in his School uniform.

All state schools have a uniform even though not compulsory, uniform shops can be found locally to the school depending on which school you are sending your child too. I have come across 2 so far around the San pedro area:

If you decide not to get the official uniform but still want to get something that resembles it, there are a couple of places you can try:

Some printers and uniform shops are able to print the school logo onto plain clothes that you provide, which is a more cost effective way for your child to wear the official uniform.
