Hi just to say that there has been a mixed response to the Mother, Baby and Toddler exhibition that finished today in Estepona.
It has been the first exhibition of its kind and therefore am sure a learning curve for organisers and exhibitors alike.
I have to say that for me it was a phenomenal success. The public response to SomethingCakey.com’s first ever exhibition was 100% enthusiastic, not only with the product but also the prices.
And our Guess the Celebrity Baby Photo competition was a huge hit. We will be checking through all the 100s of entries and announcing the winners by Wednesday. Good luck to all those who entered.
I am also keen to hear other peoples feedback on the show.

I visited the exhibition early Friday morning and it was very quiet and again on the Saturday to watch the Indybel fashion show, which was great work by all the girls involved. There was definately more stalls than i expected but not as many visitors. I think it is something that is definately a good idea and will grow in time.
It would be great to hear other peoples views as well.
Although I wasn’t an exhibitor at the show I have had great feedback and orders as a spin off ! The girls at Fiesta Fiesta Parties and the lovely Indybel girls both had my cakes on display and I have had a lot of orders because of this.
The show itself – as a visitor – I enjoyed it and my kids certainly did. They loved the Krafty Kids stand where they decorated their own cakes and biscuits (although they ate most of the decorations before they made it to the cakes). The bouncy castles were a great hit, and I couldn’t help buying at the Elle Morgan and Indybel stands.
Hopefully next year will be even better for everyone!
As an exhibitor we had great fun at the event. It was lovely to meet others in the baby business and of course the many customers who came to buy from us. Their enthusiasm for our products made us feel that we must be doing something right!! As everyone has commented the show was quieter than we all hoped which is a shame as there so many fantastic seminars and stands on offer. Hopefully the factors contributing to this will be addressed as I’m sure the show could go on grow and be a bigger success in the years to come.
Would just like to say a big thanks to everyone who bought our products, all the models in our fashion show and also Ashleigh from The Icing on the Cake Spain who bought us gorgeous cupcakes with our logo and pics from the site on them … such a great idea if you are planning a corporate or marketing event and also very yummy and kept us going through the long weekend!
